Our story
Off the flash wall.
Into the hoop.
Old-school tattoo flash hung on shop walls so sailors and bikers could walk in, point at a sheet and walk out wearing it. Bold outlines, a handful of colors, nothing fussy. It turns out that's exactly what makes a great cross stitch.

Tattoo flash, charted for the hoop.
Skull & Cross Stitch turns that style into patterns: snarling panthers, anchors and swallows, sacred hearts, Krampus, tarot cards, and a few softer things drawn with the same heavy black line.
Every chart is built to be easy to follow. Patterns use 4 to 15 DMC threads, chosen for the design rather than crammed in, with bold gridlines every 10 stitches, center markers and a full thread list with skein counts. It all comes as a vector PDF that stays sharp when you zoom in on a tablet and prints clean at home.
And every pattern comes with a code for X Marks, the free stitch tracker we built so your chart lives on your phone, your progress is saved and your floss is accounted for.
How a pattern gets made
From flash sheet to floss.

How we make them: designs are created with AI image tools, then redrawn and cleaned up by hand for the stitch grid. Photos on this site are digital mockups of the finished pieces.
