On 18 count Aida it finishes at about 8.9 x 11.9 inches, or 11.4 x 15.4 inches on 14 count: 160 x 215 stitches, 19,739 in all, in 5 DMC colors (DMC 310 Black, 666 Bright Red, 745 Yellow Pale Light, 3820 Straw Dark and 816 Garnet).

How many colors do the patterns use?+
Between 4 to 15 DMC colors, chosen for the design. Each pattern lists its exact threads and how many skeins of each you need.
Can I stitch it on 14 count instead of 18?+
Yes. Patterns are sized for 18 count Aida; on 14 count the finished piece is about 30% larger. Pick fabric a few inches bigger than the finished size on every side for framing.
